Hair Care guide

Divide your hair into 4–6 sections before wetting the hair. This makes the wash process much easier, especially with curly textures. Work on one section at a time and make sure the hair is drenched before moving forward, the hair should stay fully saturated throughout the entire process.

Start by applying a sulfate-free shampoo and working it thoroughly into the hair.

Rinse completely, making sure all shampoo is removed from the bundles. This may take a few rinses.

Once the shampoo is fully rinsed out, apply a sulfate-free conditioner section by section while detangling gently with a detangling brush. Always detangle from the ends upward to avoid unnecessary shedding.

After detangling, deep conditioning for 15–30 minutes is a MUST, especially for our TRUE FORM COLLECTION bundles. These textures are designed to mimic natural hair, which means moisture is extremely important.

During the rinsing process, kinkier textures may benefit from leaving a small amount of conditioner in the hair to help retain moisture and softness. For looser curl patterns or bigger volume, rinse thoroughly to avoid weighing the curls down.

Curl definition comes after the hair has been fully washed, conditioned, and detangled.

Divide the hair into 3–4 sections and make sure each section is damp before styling.

For best results, use a spray bottle with water + conditioner mix and spray each section until fully saturated.

Apply your curl products, brush through each section, and allow the curls to clump together naturally.

WET LOOK

For a more defined wet look, saturate the hair using the water and conditioner mixture. Apply mousse, coiling custard, or styling cream throughout the hair while it is fully wet. Use a detangling brush to evenly distribute product and define the curls section by section.

Use a microfiber towel to remove excess water if needed. Air drying is always recommended for the best results, but diffusing until the hair is at least 60% dry can help reduce frizz and maintain definition. While drying, avoid touching or running your fingers through the curls.

To refresh the hair between washes, lightly mist with the water/conditioner mixture and apply a small amount of leave-in conditioner as needed.

BED TIME CARE

Before bed, place the hair into a loose high pineapple or large twists to help preserve the curl pattern overnight. Always wear a satin scarf or bonnet while sleeping to reduce frizz, maintain moisture, and help the curls last longer.

DAILY CARE

When styling your hair for the day, gently release the pineapple or twists and lightly mist the hair with water if needed. Apply leave-in conditioner and/or a coiling custard depending on your desired look. Fluff and shake the hair gently for volume, but avoid excessive manipulation, as too much touching can create unnecessary frizz. Some days the hair may only need a light mist and fluff to bring the curls back to life.

LONG TERM CARE

Between installs or at least once a month, we recommend using an intensive hair masque or hot oil treatment to help maintain moisture, softness, and overall extension longevity. Proper care is essential to keeping your bundles looking their best over time.

BUNDLE CARE

All bundles should be washed before installation. Leave the rubber bands intact during the washing process to help keep the bundles organized and minimize tangling.

The care routine for our curly textures is more detailed because curly hair naturally requires more maintenance. Our textures are designed to closely mimic natural hair, so it’s important to treat them as such. With the right maintenance routine, your bundles can remain soft, defined, full, and long-lasting. Refer to the DAILY CARE section for ongoing maintenance tips.

COLORING & BLEACHING CARE

Our virgin hair can comfortably lift up to a #27 while still maintaining good integrity. When bleaching, we recommend using a 25–30 volume developer.

Over-processing the hair can loosen or permanently alter the original curl pattern. Once the hair has been colored or bleached, it should be cared for just like natural color-treated hair with consistent moisture and deep conditioning treatments.
